Listen to This Song 'Akash Vora'
The sky full of Sun and stars, the world full of life
At its center I found my space
In wonder awakens my song!

What makes the world swing and dance in the up and down tides of time eternal,
Also beats my pulse and pulls the stream of blood in my veins;
In wonder awakens my song!

Stepping on the grass by the forest path
Swift fragrance of flowers catches my mind,
The gift of joy is spread all around;
In wonder arises my song!

Tuning my ears, opening my eyes and pouring my heart
in the earth's bossom,
Within the Known, I've searched for the Unknown
In joy awakens my song!
- R.Tagore

"I slept and dreamt that life was joy.
I awoke and found that
life was service.
I acted and, beheld,
service was joy."
- Tagore

I the human wander lone in wonder
amid this grand universe of unbounded space and time
You the great keeper of universe
Exist in its infinite wonders
Lone in silence
In the grand home of your own being!

Through the limitless lands and times
Through the incountable stars
You are gazing at me
I look up towards thee!

All noise ceased in silence
All worlds absorbed in deep peace
Alone You are!
Alone I am within, fearless!

- R. Tagore

Being in touch with your essence, your true Self is to create a deeply personal relationship with the Universe.

Cleanse away in thy shower of light
This cover of dirt I hide mySelf with!
Awaken that which lies in deep slumber within me
With a gentle touch of thy golden morning Sun!

Forever restless, I long and thirst for the far-away
Days pass, I sit and wait by the window, dream-eyed

Oh, the distant; the grandiose distant
I seek thy touch with all my heart and mind!

I hear you play your impassionate flute
Forgetting I sit here, still and wingless!

- R.Tagore

You were hidden in my being; I couldn't see you
I opened my eyes to the world outside; didn't look inside
You remained as the joy in my plays;
In playing I forgot you; my days gone by carelessly
Lying hidden deep within my heart,
you gave me the tune for my songs of delight and pain;
I did not sing your song!
- A song by Tagore

Only One Way

Shutting the door of mind

I try to prevent the false;

Truth says, "Pardon! how do I enter?"

Mind Lost
Mind, Oh my mind! What have you lost that took away the peace of thy whole life!
Have you now forgotten the path back to where you travelled down once? Oh! How would you return to that doorway, my mind?
I tune my ears to the river water, my heart resonates to the rustle of leaves;
I know I'll find, if only I could understand the language of a flower!
The road which goes beyond the Morning Star!  - Song of Tagore
Infinite Life
There is suffering, there is death, there is the burning pain of being apart!
Yet there is peace, there is joy and there is eternity awake!
Life flows forever, the Sun and Moon keep smiling;
Spring arrives in the groves in all colors!
Waves disappear, Waves arise
Flowers fall away, flowers bloom
The place where nothing fades away, nothing dies and no lack at all exists
In that wholeness of thy feet, mind seeks refuge!  - Song of Tagore

"The greatest achievement is selflessness. The greatest worth is self-mastery. The greatest quality is seeking to serve others. The greatest precept is continual awareness. The greatest medicine is the emptiness of everything. The greatest action is nonconforming with the world's ways. The greatest action is transmuting the passions. The greatest generosity is non-attachment. The greatest goodness is a peaceful mind. The greatest patience is humility. The greatest effort is not concerned with results. The greatest meditation is a mind that lets go. The greatest wisdom is seeing through appearances." - Atisha
