The Four Agreements of
Shaman by Don Miguel Ruiz
1. Be impeccable with your word.
Speak with integrity. Say only what you mean. Use the power of your word in the direction of truth and love.
2. Don’t take anything personally.
Nothing others do is because of you. What others say and do is a projection of their own reality, their own dream. When you
are immune to the opinions and actions of others, you won’t be the victim of needless suffering.
3. Don’t make assumptions.
Find the courage to ask questions and to express what you really want. Communicate with others as clearly as you can to avoid
misunderstandings, sadness and drama.
4. Always do your best.
Your best is going to change from moment to moment. It will be different when you are healthy as opposed to sick. Under any
circumstances, simply do your best, and you will avoid self-judgment, self-abuse and regret
Shambhala Guardians "Those
who have been fearless in their search and in their proclamation belong to the lineage of master warriors, whatever their
religion, philosophy or creed. They are leaders and gaurdians of human wisdom. They are fearless in their expression of gentleness
and genuineness on behalf of all sentient beings. In the midst of degradation, the fathers (fearlessness) and mothers (gentleness)
of shambhala make it possible to contemplate enlightened society." - Trungpa Rinpoche Also see Shambhala Glossary andsee Shambhala Prophesy
Longing For Truth
The Bible declares, "You will know the truth and the truth will make you free."
(John 8:32) There is tremendous power in knowing the truth of a situation. When we are willing to know the truth, we are then
free to engage our minds and hearts in a response that is both courageous and wise. Truth begins with understanding, and understanding
begins by listening. "Come, let us reason." It is not an act of weakness. It is the very way by which we discover
pathways to peace. "Come, let us reason together," says the Lord (Isaiah 1:18)
"Those, who shall be a lamp unto
themselves, shall betake themselves to no external refuge, but holding fast to the Truth as their lamp, and holding fast to
the Truth as their refuge, they shall reach the topmost height." - Buddha's Farewell Message to Ananda
Satyagraha is a Sanskrit term popularized by Gandhi
during his non-violent non-co-operation movements . It means any effort to discover, discern, obtain or apply "Satya'
or 'Truth' to correct injustice in any form. It is based on engagement of the "Soul power" based on universal
love and universal truth. It apparently works slowly and invisibly as a force of conscious evolution, but its effects are
more enduring and irreversible. Serenity Prayer
"Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage
to .change the things I can and the wisdom to know the difference between the two." - R.N. Be the Change
Life expresses itself at many different
levels of consciousness or self-awareness. Higher the level of consciousness, the greater the degree of self-determination,
the greater the ability to choose and decide, announce and declare, express and fulfill, the grandest notion one has of who
and what one is.
Every
act is an act of self-definition. It is when you decide ahead of time that your inner state is going to be peaceful and loving,
irrespective of outer situation, it completely shifts the axis of your experience. It places the source of what you desire
within you, no matter what the outer moment brings to you. The Outer world loses its power over you. This is genuine power.
The kind of power that changes lives and changes the world. Change your beliefs
because your new beliefs more accurately announce who you are. Change is an act of freedom, an act of creation (new beliefs)
and not an act of compliance or obedience. Creation is the only act of evolution. Seek not, therefore to change the world.
Seek to BE the change you wish to SEE in the world.

In the Hawaiian language, aloha stands for much more than just "hello" or "goodbye"
or "love." Its deeper meaning is "the joyful (oha) sharing (alo) of life energy (ha) in the present (alo)."
Namaste literally means "I humbly bow to you," from the Sanskrit: Namas: "to bow,
obeisance, reverential salutation", and Te: "to you". It is commonly accompanied by a slight bow made with the hands pressed
together, palms touching, in front of the heart. In a religious context this word can be taken to mean any of these:
The Spirit in me meets the same Spirit in you I salute the divine in you I bring together my body and soul, focusing my divine
potential, and bow to the same potential within you. In other words, it recognizes the equality of all, and pays honor to
the sacredness of all.
The Willing Heart
by Arlen Price
Where the heart is willing,
it will find a thousand ways. Where it is unwilling, it will find a thousand excuses.
We are the Universe exploring itself!
There is nothing we cannot be, do and have, as long as You and I are dreaming unlimited reality and choosing our focus here
and now from a vastly expanded perspective of infinite possibilities! Enjoy the journey! - S.Barua
Attitude by Charles Swindoll
The longer I live, the more I realize
the impact of attitude on life. Attitude, to me, is more important than facts. It is more important than the past, than education,
than money, than circumstances, than failures, than successes, than what other people think or say or do. It is more important
than appearance, giftedness, or skill. It will make or break a company...a church... a home. The remarkable thing is we have
a choice every day regarding the attitude we will embrace for that day. We cannot change our past... we cannot change the
fact that people will act in a certain way. We cannot change the inevitable. The only thing we can do is play on the one string
we have, and that is our attitude... I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me and 90% how I react to it. And so
it is with you...we are in charge of our attitudes.
